General Technical Issues Accessing Activities

When opening an activity link, you may sometimes see messages such as "Something went wrong" or a code error. These are general indicators of technical problems with loading the page or accessing the activity. Common causes include:

Activity already closed (quota or deadline)

  • The activity may be closed because the participation quota was reached or the participation deadline has passed
  • Once closed, the activity page is no longer accessible, and links may redirect you to the community homepage or show a generic error instead of the original activity.

Expired or outdated link
  • If you use an old invitation email or a link from previous communication, the underlying activity may have changed or be no longer available
  • The link can then lead to an error or the homepage instead of the intended activity.

Login or session issues

  • If you are not logged in or your session has expired, the system may fail to open the activity correctly.
  • Logging out and logging back in can sometimes resolve this issue.

Browser/device compatibility or cache issues

  • Certain browser settings, outdated versions, or cached data can interfere with loading activity pages.
  • Try:
    • different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
    • A different device (desktop vs mobile).
    • Clearing your cache

Temporary platform or server issues

  • Occasionally, there may be a temporary technical problem on our side, such as a server error, maintenance, or a glitch in the activity setup.
In such cases, the error message is generic (e.g., "Something went wrong" or a code error) even though the issue is internal.
